My older sister passed away in November 2024, she was like a second mother to me and I took it really hard as were quite close and I just felt lost not having her their, it has been difficult picking up the pieces again and I have been through all the emotions that grief brings with it, I had contacted my doctor who put me in touch with my local primary care mental health and wellbeing service and I made an appointment with Yna, a senior support worker in my local health centre.
Yna was very kind, supportive and listened even though all I did was cry through my appointment she made me feel at ease she also gave me some very good advice of other services which was available, I used the Listening service and the lady I had spoke to there again was very kind and helpful too, I now feel that with all the help from professionals, family and friends I am able to move forward with my life, and the help is always going to be there if I need it in future. I am so grateful to everyone.
I was very happy with the service from all the health professionals that I have been in contact with so far, I am not sure how this service could be improved so I feel I can not answer this question honestly.
