"You'll forever be part of our story"

About: Paediatrics / Paediatric Day Surgery Unit

(as a parent/guardian),

My son has been seen over the last 9 months by various professionals about his weak muscle in the back of his eye.

He has always been made to feel relaxed and comfortable. I cannot stress the appreciation I feel enough. He is a bit of a worrier and an overthinker and the process, from the beginning has been fantastic. We have had all the information he needed at the right times, including the online app with visual tours of the day centre.

The communication with us and between all the people we have seen has been flawless. And during the day of the surgery the staff went over and above for us every step of the way, picking up on my son's  slight anxiety (that I feel he hides well). The nurse working with us was even spot on with the support for me during the op, just enough support whilst still providing privacy. Honestly could not have asked for more.

The calmness of the ward, gives a relaxed feel in times that are deeply stressful for everyone in there. It was incredible how this atmosphere was created but it was this that kept us at ease throughout our time. I can't quite put into words how grateful we are to everyone in the day surgery centre and you'll probably never know how much you mean to us but you'll forever be part of our story that we tell of the day my son had eye surgery and we will sing your praises. Thank you all so very very much!!!
