"Blood trst"

About: Whiteley Surgery

Despite having the blood test I have not received any results so cannot review the test. Also I am told that if the results are clear I don’t get to see them so I could be waiting for ages which is totally unacceptable. Cannot even get an appointment to see a doctor and it is assumed that all people have access to a mobile phone and social media.

Dear Paul Hawkins,

Thank you for taking the time to contact the Practice via NHS Rating and Reviews regarding your recent experience with us.

We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with how your blood test results have been handled and communicated with you.

All feedback helps us understand what we are doing right and where we can make improvements, and your feedback allows us to do just that.

To expand on blood tests further for you, once the results are back and have been reviewed by a clinician, these are saved to your medical record and are viewable via the NHS App/Patient Access. If you currently have online access then please use your NHS App/Patient Access either on your mobile, tablet or computer to see these results. If you don't have online access, but would like this to be setup then please complete our dedicated form here:

https://www.meonhealthpractice.co.uk/practice-information/administrative-office/online-access-to-your-records/

In addition, please allow us to kindly advise, results which are reviewed and recorded as 'Normal' patients are not routinely contacted to advise this, as per NHS Guidance and as above. Should a test result be 'Abnormal' then contact will be made with the patient by a clinician.

Should you be unable to access online services and would like to know the result of a blood test, then patients can contact the practice either via telephone, in person or via Anima and a member of our Patient Service Advisor Team will be able to support further.

Further information on how to make an appointment and how we offer our appointments can be found here: https://www.meonhealthpractice.co.uk/appointments/

Be reassured your comments will be shared with our Practice Management Team as we continuously work to address areas of concern and further improve our service.

Your insight is appreciated and if you have any further concerns, please do let us know.

You can contact us directly via our website should you wish for a more formal response: www.meonhealthpractice.co.uk/feedback/

Please accept our apologies once more and thank you again for contacting us and for being part of our practice.

Yours sincerely,

Gareth Evans

Operations Manager
