"Medical gaslighting"

About: Stourside Medical Practice

I have been at this doctors for over 26 years and will be leaving. It is a revolving door for temporary staff with only 1 permanent Doctor (Hearn). Locums do not seem to care, show any empathy or understanding. This week, I contacted about a lump on my stomach that was worrying me. The doctor did not welcome me, she said 'what you need?' showed no empathy and when I told her it was small lump as she was unable to find it. I was made to feel like I was exaggerating or making it up. She simply told me "unless you stomach protrudes when you cough, you should be fine". I have left feeling worse that when I got there.

Over the last 5 years I have also contacted about (hormonal) symptoms and have been told contradicting things by different locums such as go on a combi pill, don't go on a pill, you've probably got depression, exercise more, rest more, it could be early onset menopause, its definitely not early menopause. Which has left me untrusting of the services.

Very disappointing.
