About: University Hospital Ayr / Endoscopy

(as the patient),

I must praise all the staff in the Endoscopy unit who I came into contact with recently. Everyone was so friendly and reassuring, explaining what was to happen at each stage.

I had an upper Endoscopy followed by a Colonoscopy and was very anxious about the procedures and what the results would be. Louise, Kerryann and Steven were the nurses who carried out the procedures. I cannot thank them enough for their care, empathy, reassurance yet professional manner explaining everything as it happened. Truly a credit to both their profession and the NHS.

Thank you Endoscopy Unit. My results were good!

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to share this lovely feedback about the care provided within the Endoscopy Unit, University Hospital Ayr.

I am glad to hear that, although you were nervous, our staff were able to put you at ease and went out of their way to make you feel comfortable whilst you were under their care. This is a lovely example of the patient centred care that we strive to provide.

Our staff really appreciate receiving feedback from their patients and it will be my pleasure to share your kind comments with the wider Team in the Unit and with nurses Louise, Kerryann and Steven in particular. I know they will all be delighted to receive this feedback and it will be really encouraging for them to know that you felt so well supported by them.
