"Fantastic service! "

I visited the UTC today with an extremely painful knee after having dislocated it. I couldn’t get to see my GP so I just turned up at the centre. I was seen quickly and xrayed. Everyone was extremely kind and helpful. The centre is so well run, a very well oiled machine. All the staff are just great. The staff member that dealt with me placed my leg in a protective splint and made a referral to the orthopaedics. Before I even arrived home, an appointment was waiting for me to see a consultant in ten days time. On top of the that, the consultant I am going to be seeing is one that I had decided that if nothing could be done today I would have contacted privately as I was in so much pain and could not continue as I was. I am so grateful to have received such amazing care and the system has worked well. It’s hard going to an emergency department, and I probably should have gone sooner, but they did not make me feel silly. They all work so hard and with such genuine compassion. We are so lucky to have them all.
