"Exceptional Care following a trauma"

About: New Victoria Hospital / Minor injuries unit Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Orthopaedics (Wards 10a, 10b, 10c &10d)

(as the patient),

I have had the most fantastic care following a trauma last week. From Andrew, the Minor Injuries Nurse at The New Victoria Hospital, Glasgow, the Staff in Wards 10C and 10A in the Queen Elizabeth University hospital, Glasgow as well as the brilliant Orthopaedic Theatre staff, I cannot praise the team enough.

Names are too numerous to mention and managed to miss some due to anaesthetic and pain meds but wanted to say thank you all for your incredible care. Kevin in theatre, my wonderful Anaesthetist and surgeon, Staff Nurses Molly, Gabby and Lia, Louise and Chris the Physios and of course the many Health Care Support Workers, Liz and Augustin, to name but two.

Your care and professionalism is exceptional and may you all continue to care for others as well as you have cared for me, whilst at my most vulnerable. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

Dear Annwy99,

thank you so much for taking the time to submit a care opinion, that sounded quite an ordeal for you, I will pass on your lovely comments to our staff in the minor injury unit at the new Victoria hospital, they will be delighted to receive such positive feedback and I'll forward your care opinion to the other departments involved in your care. It is much appreciated when patients send in such lovely comments and praise regarding the care they received. I hope you are continuing to recover well at home.

with kind regards,

Karen

Dear Annwy99

Thank you for taking the time to get in touch following your recent trauma admission at QEUH.

The Minor Injuries, orthopaedic and theatre teams work hard to reassure and support patients at what we know can be a very stressful time following an injury. I am pleased that you had a positive experience and that staff provided such great care.

The ward teams will be delighted to receive your positive feedback.

Best wishes for your ongoing recovery

Kind regards

Morag Busby, lead Nurse Trauma and Orthopaedics.
