"The place was a home from home"

About: Loane House / Ward 1

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I went off my feet a few months ago and I was sent to ward 1 to get back on my feet. The place was a home from home, everyone was so helpful and friendly.

The nurses and assistants were amazing, nothing was too much bother for them. I was in a wee side room by myself, so everyone visited me and checked up on me regularly, some even stopped for a quick chat.

The ward was kept clean and tidy. the food was good, but I had to get my family to make me sandwiches everyday as their was no sandwich option on the menu. I could eat 2 dinners in a day

Thank you for posting about your experience in Loane House we do welcome all feedback to help us improve the service we offer.

I will pass your positive feedback regarding the cleanliness of the ward to the Domestic Services Team.

Unfortunately we are unable to serve our patients sandwiches due to food safety concerns.

The menus are reviewed frequently and I will pass your comments on to the Catering Manager.

I am delighted to hear you felt the place was a home from home and that everyone was so helpful and friendly.

I agree the nurses and health care assistants are amazing.

Its reassuring to hear that the ward was kept clean and tidy, our domestic colleagues work very hard to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
