"Got the right help he needs"

About: Children & Young People Physical Health / Rotherham Children's Neuro Development Service

(as a parent/guardian),

My son struggled most of his life through school reaching breaking point. School came to me when my son was 5 years old sharing that he was showing signs of ADHD

When my son finally got to CAMHS he had his assessment which we both felt nervous about at the start but when we got there the lady who seen my son Claire was lovely and made us feel both at ease, she explained everything that was happening, so my son could be prepared.

I felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders and i felt very emotional. I cant thank claire and lauren at CAMHS enough they have changed both mine and my sons life going forward in the future within education and my son can get the right help he needs.

Hello

My name is Caroline and I am the team manager for the Rotherham team.

Thank you so much for sharing your story, I am so pleased that you feel like a weight has lifted from your shoulders and that the diagnosis has made a difference to the support that you and your son will be able to access.

It is truly lovely to hear what an impact Claire and Lauren have had on the both of you and I will ensure that your feedback is shared with them.

Thank you for sharing your story as I am sure it will resonate with other families who may also be feeling nervous about coming to see us.

Kind regards
