"Paediatric Dermatology"

About: Paediatrics / Paediatric Outpatients

(as a parent/guardian),

The waiting room is really not age appropriate for teenagers. It is full of toys for infants and young children.

Poor experience at the appointment itself. Living with constantly itchy skin and eczema is a lonely journey with a huge psychological impact, not least through your teenage years. There was so little compassion shown and felt more like a dismissal of symptoms and their impact. Did not feel heard or that our opinions and concerns mattered in terms of "treatment plan". Left utterly deflated and felt that the service who you hope has your back and understands the complexities, does not.
