I recently attended the Barclay Ward for Lung Volume Reduction. From the first moment and during the following 8 days of recovery every member of staff treated me with respect, explained what was going to occur during my treatment and far exceeded my expectations .
Surgery and pre-op insertion of epidural was carried out with such kindness and patience that I felt totally at ease prior to the operation.
I woke a few hours later on the Barclay ward and during my 7 days was treated in a professional caring nothing to much trouble attitude. All staff from cleaners, cooks, nurses and surgeon's visit was carried out in such a way that so eased my concerns and I believe only hastened my recovery.
Discharge was accompanied by a full explanation about my medication and follow up appointment with my GP practice arranged for me to remove stitches.
Mr Jadoon and his team I give my utmost thanks, exemplary professional and caring -thanks to all the team. Physio team patient and very helpful. The nurses the doctors and support staff on Barclay ward I do not have the words to express my deepest thanks for the care I received. Carry on the good work .
"My deepest thanks for the care I received"
