I arrived at A&E early hours of the morning, the receptionist booked me in, the triage nurse was kind and friendly and listened to my history,
The HCA was gentle and kind when she took blood and the GP was attentive and kind with his examination, even catching up on the ward with me a few days later.
The staff in minors were kind and compassionate, nothing was to much trouble and the CT radiologist was patient with all my questions and worries.
Abbey ward triage next, they took time to explain diagnosis and what would be happening next.
Abbey ward staff were amazing, so kind, HCA Holly was bubbly and caring, the night HCA was friendly and gentle, the nurses were amazing, apologetic and understanding when things didn’t go to plan..
Anaesthetists and surgeons kept me updated even when there were delays which wax out of everyone’s control.
Porters where speedy and gentle with their transfers, domestics where friendly whilst cleaning and hotel services were always there with food and hot beverages (it smelt nice, shame I couldn’t eat it)
The whole theatre team were patient, kind, gentle and just wonderful when I was scared, this meant I didn’t feel alone.
Lastly but not least was Wynard ward, just wonderful, kind and compassionate, fun and couldn’t do enough for me.
Here I got to eat and drink the tasty food on offer.
I had a speedy, well communicated and organised discharge.
I felt cared for for all of my stay, listened to and communicated with.
I haven’t been In Hospital for over 30 years, and I don’t want to go back but not through any faults of the wonderful staff because there really weren’t any.
"Speedy, well communicated and organised"
