I have been fit and healthy for much of my life (now mid 70s) and was rarely unwell, so when I was told out of the blue, you need to undergo some chemotherapy treatments it's a bit of a knock back, thankfully I have never been a worrier. So if you are placed in a similar situation, take a deep breath and slowdown because I just know our NHS will do the very best for you as they did for me. I was treated at the NHS Southend Carlingford Centre where each and everyone of the staff made me feel at ease and cared for. If you're unlucky enough to go through chemo' you maybe somewhat surprised to see how many young and old are going through the very same experience as I have, it is also worth noting, the experience affects different people in different ways, so all the very best to you and a massive 🙏🏼 to the all staff working in the Carlingford Centre.
