My partner and I just wanted to thank everyone at Penrice Birth Centre for the amazing help and support I received throughout my pregnancy, at the birth of our daughter and the weeks that followed.
This was our first pregnancy and we didn’t know what to expect. Our midwife Sue was absolutely fantastic with us, taking time to talk through all the stages. She listened to the questions and worries we had, however big or small and gave us calm, professional and expert advice and answers. She took us through the additional informational sources that we could look at as well sharing her years of experience. She really did become a friend. Her care and compassion as well as her friendly nature was exactly what we needed. We do miss her.
We also met Amy (student midwife) who accompanied Sue for some of our appointments. We’d like to wish her all the best. She was keen to learn and clearly had a passion for midwifery. Her bubbly personality and caring nature was a pleasure to be around.
A massive thank you to the midwife support team as well. I’m really sorry I can’t remember all their names but each one was brilliant with me. They were friendly and welcoming with all my concerns, and their care always put me at ease.
I cannot thank everyone there enough. The community midwives (including the student midwife) were professional and so friendly. It didn’t matter that we hadn’t met them before as it felt like we had know everyone since the start, Lizzie the team leader was amazing with some magic tricks in the pushing stage. We had everything thoroughly explained to us throughout the day. We were kept calm and still managed to have a laugh and a joke when I wasn’t scaring away everyone in the waiting room with my screaming. My birth plan was that I was happy to go with the flow and welcomed guidance and advice and that was exactly what I got.
As a first time mum Penrice was everything I needed and more,
I can’t thank everyone enough at Penrice for all the support we have received. Thank you!
"Amazing help and support"
