"I couldn't have wished for better care"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / General surgery Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Nephrology South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as the patient),

I was brought into Wonford by Ambulance, staffed by two very friendly professional ladies.

I can't remember the name of the ward I then went into initially, but in the morning I was taken to the Abby Ward and the next day to the Dart (which I misheard and thought it was called the Dark Ward)!?!.

I was diagnosed with blood infection and then with infected, bloated right kidney. I had a drain inserted into my right kidney and was discharged. (I was told I would be coming back this week to have the drain replaced by an internal stent)

I just wanted to say how excellent, caring, friendly, cheerful, informative every single member of staff were that looked after me! Also the food was blooming excellent too.

I couldn't have wished for better care.

Please pass on my grateful thanks to your excellent staff

Very many thanks.
