About: Adult Health & Support Services / Primary Care Out of Hours NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service)

(as a service user),

Just recently I contacted NHS 24 and was advised to attend Douglas Street Hamilton, Out of Hours Service. The initial call was handled very well and and I was given my appointment time to attend within 2 hours. I was greeted by Ellen (CSW ) and my observations recorded. Ellen was kind and caring and I immediately felt at ease. I returned to the waiting area but within a few minutes was called through for my consultation. Denise ( SCN ) introduced herself and although I was feeling unwell and anxious, she put me completely at ease. Denise was very professional and I really feel she listened to me. I was examined and within minutes was given an nebuliser to help my breathing. The care and attention I received was nothing short of excellent. 

Thank you Denise and Ellen for the care, attention and efficient service . I experienced the very essence of person centred care. Thank you so much.
