I attended Wishaw frailty Department today to support my mum who had an appointment to talk about support for Parkinson’s.
My mum was a new patient and very nervous. Angela and Margaret took her blood pressure and went out of their way to make her feel at ease.
We were taken straight away to see Dr Adler and my mum was relieved she didnt have to wait.
Dr Adler was friendly and down to earth and spent alot of time asking questions and listening.
He included me in the conversation as i was supporting my mum. He was also happy to answer any questions we both had about medication or adaptations.
He seemed genuinely interested in my mum and her life as a whole and we didnt feel rushed.
He drew up a plan of action that we all agreed with and both me and my mum felt there was a sense of moving forward.
My mum felt listened to and understood. We definitely left smiling and feeling the appointment was very beneficial.
"Friendly and genuine care"
