"Truly made me feel okay to be myself"

About: Neurodiversity Services / North Lincolnshire ADHD team

(as the patient),

I was very nervous for my ADHD Assessment, however Amanda made me feel so relaxed and comfortable. She also worded a question differently if I didn't understand it. Amanda's patience throughout the long ADHD assessment process was invaluable; she truly made me feel okay to be myself.

Hi I am Jo the Manager for the Team. Firstly thank you for taking the time to complete the Care Opinion Form. It was a real pleasure to read your positive feedback regarding your recent engagement with the team. I will be sure to pass your lovely comments onto Amanda who I know will be happy to receive them. As a team/service we really do appreciate patients feedback as this enables us to reflect upon current practices and our approaches towards individualised patient care. We do recognise that at times a patient journey can be anxiety provoking when discussing symptoms that have been ongoing for a long time. Hence why all the nurses offer an empathic, kind supportive approach to patients taking time to really listen to what a patient says then reframe questions if necessary. Good luck with the rest of your journey with the team.
