"Fantastic Team"

I want to say just how fantastic the team were in both Ward 19 and 20 during my son's recent stay. He was referred via GP for acute appendicitis and the team in Ward 19 were so attentive - special shout out to nurse Kerry and Dr O'Hara who were lovely. My son was transferred to Ward 20 as he was going to have surgery and the surgical team were very thorough when talking to my son and us. Nurses Amanda and Ellie were amazing and HCSW Jamie was the star of the show - he helped my son feel at ease in finding a common ground in football.
The staff all made sure we were aware of what was happening and his progress for discharge. They are a credit to NHS.
On another note - how uncomfortable are the chair/beds for parents!!!! Thankfully it was only one night I stayed!!!

The staff will be delighted to hear that they have made a stressful time much easier on you both. It's our aim to provide care of a high standard to all of our patients and I am glad we met this on your son's admission. I will pass on your feedback to all of the team. Thank you also for your feedback regarding the chairs, we are limited on space at the bedside however I appreciate your honestly and will look at what alternative are available to us.

I just wanted to send a quick response to say thanks so much for getting in touch and for the lovely compliments for our medical and nursing staff. I'm so glad they were able to make it a bit less stressful for you, your family and your son - I hope he's on the mend.
As Annie noted we always strive to provide the highest quality care - and we will relook at the chairs/bed chairs:-)
