I was recently admitted to hospital to have my right kidney removed on ward west C6, urology.
The ward was immaculate and although the staff were very busy I received so much care, compassion and understanding in the five days I was there
The staff were lovely and I simply could not praise them enough, I felt vulnerable but also very safe every one was professional all my checks were done very regular throughout the five days I was there not just day one.
I noticed how lovely and how easily approachable they all were from janitors, nurses ,doctors (every single person on the ward, I say that because I don’t want to miss one single person), they all need to be recognised for their hard work .
They all worked closely as a team and you could see in their work professionally how close they really were .
I can’t remember everyone by name because of not feeling well, but the names I can were Susan or Suzanne, Jordan, Bailey and Lauren to name but a few .
I feel Russell’s Hall does have some bad press just from what I’ve read but from my experiences of appointments and time actually spent at the hospital should be appropriately highlighted also .
These guys work tirelessly long hours , and need to be admired and appreciated as they should be
I’m home now recovering and although I’m no longer there I know they are just a phone call away if needed
So thank you for everything from myself and my family, I cannot thank you all enough nothing was too much trouble days / nights nothing changed I received the best care all through and couldn’t of received any better it was top notch !
Every staff member was amazing and cannot be faulted in any way !
As soon as I left the ward I knew if I was in pain or not I would be leaving a great review and here it is.
So to every one single person who works on west C6 thank you you are appreciated .
The care I received goes way past a job it’s way more than that!
If it wasn’t for NHS staff like these I honestly don’t know were we would be and don’t want to even imagine, so I live in hope one day they will be recognised for all their hard work and also they’re time spent away from family the tireless long shifts they all do in making the NHS fantastic
And although they must be exhausted it never shows in their work at all.
