"Great Doctors, lifesavers"

About: Hendford Lodge Medical Centre, Yeovil

Every six months I require blood tests. My GP identified that I was anaemic and I was prescribed iron tablets. I then developed repeated bouts of diarrhoea and further tests were carried out. I was advised to have a bowel cancer test, which I did but this came back clear. My symptoms continued despite the negative test. My GP continued to investigate possible causes. (At this point I spoke with two separate GP’s at the surgery, my GP and another. I was treated with such care and understanding.

I was referred to the hospital and scans identified that I did indeed have bowel cancer. I was referred to the specialist and had surgery to remove the tumour.

I can’t speak highly enough of the two Doctors at the surgery who have been involved with me through the whole process. Their thoroughness and expertise has saved my life. I am so grateful for all the help and support I have been given.

Thank you.
