"No request was too much to ask"

About: Medicine for the Elderly / Ward 8

(as a relative),

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all staff associated with

Ward 8, Royal Victoria Hospital, Dundee.

My 100 year old mother, was transferred to ward 8 from Ninewells Hospital, Dundee where she had been treated for a winter respiratory virus and a urinary infection. While in ward 8 she continued to receive ongoing treatment and made gradual improvement, subsequently transferring to a local nursing home after 4 weeks.

During her stay in ward 8, we as a family visited daily, at varying times and all of us commented on the dedication and above and beyond attention given not only to my mother but to the other patients. From doctors, nurses, physios and auxiliary staff all with a friendly greeting on our arrival, it was clear the staff always had the patient's interest at heart. No request was too much to ask and always carried out quickly and efficiently.
