"Saving my husbands life."

About: Urgent Community Response / Urgent Community Response (South)

(as a relative),

I cannot praise Luke from the urgent response team highly enough. From the moment he walked in through the door, the politeness, efficiency & speed he took over the situation was amazing.

After assessing my husband who had a UTI & a temperature,  he was advised by the on call consultant to ring for ambulance ASAP. While waiting for the advice, Luke was assessing what aids might be needed should my husband not go into hospital. All the equipment that Luke had ordered arrived. Also at 3pm that same day, the ambulance was called & my husband was admitted to kings mill hospital by 4pm, in the ambulance.

I was told my husbands heart rate was at 200,78/80 being the norm. That evening because the heart rate wasn't coming down quickly enough, it was decided to shock his heart, also told to prepare ourselves as my husband might not make it. Three months later my family & I are so grateful to still have my husband even though there is ongoing care.

Many Many thanks Luke, without your assessment & speed in organising everthing,I am sure my husband would not be with me today.Heartfelt thanks from all my family.
