"The whole team was reassuring and kind"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Urology

(as the patient),

I was made to feel very comfortable and relaxed throughout. I was quite clear what was happening at each stage.

I found the procedure slightly uncomfortable but little more than when having a smear test. This may be because I sat in a specially designed chair.  I was able to watch the examination on a screen and a nurse explained what I could see. I was told that I could ask to stop/pause the examination if I needed to.

The whole team was reassuring and kind.

I was told the outcome of the examination and was able to go home immediately.

I presume from your feedback that this was performed in a gynae outpatient clinic? Please correct me if I am wrong.

Regardless I am pleased to read that you were well supported through the examination and did not find it too uncomfortable.

I will inform the team of your kind words!

Yes it was in the gynae outpatients clinic.

I was in the clinic for less than an hour.
