"We always get excellent treatment"

About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary / Respiratory medicine

(as a service user),

Having struggled with my asthma for a number of years.

In 2020 I was referred to Doncaster hospital. To the difficult asthma clinic.

I had no pre ideas as no one else new how to help me.

I waited about a year to be seen.

It's there I may Dr Adeni and the respiratory nursing team.

They have literally changed my life

Every time I see them it's now a pleasure.

The  nursing  team who support the clinic  are always on the end of the phone.  If I need them

I have gone from my asthma been  unstable . With 6 lots of high dose steroid rescue packs a year. To one or two.

The change in me has been amazing thanks to them.

They work tirelessly for there patients and without them I would of given up hope.

I now have my life back. Thanks to Dr Adeni and getting me funding for biologics.

I cannot praise them and all the team enough.

Doncaster hospital should be proud of them as they are un sung heroes

I have a life. I can walk the dog now and go out more now my asthma is more stable.

Before I spent my life been poorly all the time and cancelling things I enjoy.

My last review 2 weeks ago showed the best ever results on all my tests.

Which I didn't think was possible

I just needed to say how brilliant these staff are. My un sung heroes

The staff are all amazing right down to the clinic staff who support it.

It's a massive thanks to Dr Adeni and the respiratory nursing team

The clinic staff who support it are all.so kind and caring.

We have the support staff who do the breathing tests are really kind friendly and caring

I go now every 6 months and it's now a pleasure rather then a chore.

We always get excellent treatment and they keep your wait to be seen down to a minimum

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. It is fantastic to hear that you're on the road to recovery, and even better that you have had the help of our staff along the way. We are extremely privileged to have such caring staff.

All the best for the future,
