"What an incredible service and level of support"

I’ve been living with a stoma for just under a year. I’ve had a few issues with my stoma for the last month. I decided to phone the stoma nurses recently and I spoke to Annette. 

Annette was really kind and knowledgeable on the phone and suggested it would be good for me to be seen, and I got an appointment for the very next day!!

I came in to clinic and was greeted by the lovely Lucy. I had met Lucy before and I remembered her but I couldn’t believe it when she remembered so much about me - I know how many people this team see! It made such a difference, and put me completely at ease as I didn’t need to go over things again. Having a stoma can make you feel embarrassed and uncomfortable but Lucy is so lovely and always gives me her time and compassion.

She wanted to check a few things about my stoma with her colleague and said she would phone me back the next day with the answers. In fact, she phoned me back within half an hour of leaving Ninewells to give me the answers I needed, and then I received all my new supplies a couple days later!! What an incredible service and level of support I have received.
