"She is now feeling much more confident"

My daughter was referred to speech and language after struggling with some of her letters and word formation.

We were contacted by Leigh at speech and language therapy at condorrat health centre, and booked to attend.

At my daughter’s first appointment it was informal and fun whilst working on how to make the sounds, we were given some suggestions of activities to work on at home. We were given a further appointment where we practiced putting the sounds together whilst playing games and making the sensing fun and interactive for my daughter, who does get easily distracted. After two sessions she was able to use to techniques taught to form the sound and use it in words.

She is now feeling much more confident in her speech and is ready to start school in August.

I would like to thank Leigh at speech and language for making the sessions enjoyable and fun, and very worthwhile.

The short intervention was exactly what she needed.
