"Put through my paces"

About: Portsmouth and South East Division / Community Therapies – Havant, Hayling and Waterlooville

(as a service user),

Having spent five weeks in hospital, including both Christmas & the New Year, I felt a bit at a loss when I returned home to be alone with no apparent support.

In my absence all sorts of equipment had been delivered which was so helpful but there was no one to advise, encourage me or to answer questions.

Hospitals are frantic places these days, the staff haven’t the time to do their job let alone pause to advise, chatter or discuss so I was very happy & reassured to learn that a physiotherapist would be visiting me at home. She not only put me through my paces with exercise but answered any questions I had, advised on the easiest way to do things, in general thoroughly reassured me. I only had 3 visits from her but they were so worthwhile.

Thank you to Cheryl at Havant Health Centre & to those who have provided me with all my equipment.
