"The staff from the get go were impressive"

About: Daisy Hill Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

After a very long sit in the waiting area I was admitted to the ED ward area for IV antibiotics and fluids.

The staff from the get go were impressive. My Dr was Doctor Samuel who fitted my cannulas and talked me through what was happening. He also explained to my daughter what needed to be known. This very nice man imparted an air of calming reassurance combined with competence and caring. My anxiety levels were reduced just knowing I was in safe hands.

Likewise the nursing and healthcare assistant staff - I remember Nurse Anna but there were others. They checked and rechecked me carefully but always cheerful with some kind words

The work of these wonderful people needs to be acknowledged

Hi Crackerjill

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback from your recent experience at DHH ED. I wish to apologize for the long wait your experienced before being seen and assessed by the ED Doctor. Thank you for acknowledging the hard work of the all the ED staff despite a very busy and challenging department. I will share your care opinion with the ED team. I hope you are recovering well following your recent illness.

Stacey
