About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I was a patient for a week after being hit by a car. The level of service provided by nurses, healthcare assistants, dinner ladies and cleaning staff was absolutely amazing. Not only were they very professional every step of the way, they also had a personal approach, showing kindness, empathy and sensitivity towards all patients. And always found a moment for a smile and some humour to keep our spirits up. That really helped getting through this painful time, and recover quicker than I had anticipated.
