"Follow up treatment"

About: Community Health and Primary Care Services / NHS Tayside GP Out of Hours Service NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service)

(as the patient),

I posted a comment earlier in the week and thought my healing process would improve. Unfortunately I had occasion to use the system again following the same path to comfort.

Again I contacted NHS 24 on what was a busy night. After a wait I was dealt with as promptly as they possibly could with the speed, kindness and support by the operators and the Heath staff providing advice.  I was again referred to Out Of Hours care at Kingscross Hospital, Dundee.  They managed to arrange as early an appointment as possible during which I was looked after by Roy and Kieron who were also extremely proficient and dealt with me with total professionalism. Their relaxed calm approach certainly helped.

Good work by all.

Dear Painful Patient,

I am so sorry to hear your urgent problem returned and unfortunatley you had to once again call NHS 24 necessitating another visit to the Out of Hours Service.

It is not surprising, but very reassuring that you were treated with the same kindness and professionalism. The Out of Hours Service is very grateful you have taken the time to once again leave us this positive feedback and personally name Roy and Kieran. As their Senior Nurse it is fabulous to receive praise for members of our nursing team. I will be sure to share your positive feedback with them.

I hope you are feeling better and are no longer in pain.

Best Wishes,

Catherine Carrie, Senior Nurse NHST Out of Hours Service.
