"Delightful to have around"

Brenda has been my health visitor for the past 8 months. She has just informed me that she will no longer be our health visitor. She has been delightful to have around, especially in those early days postpartum as a first time mum, making me feel at ease and very supported. I would have anxiety, depression and worry a lot , and have ongoing mental health problems that I receive help for, and Brenda made the topic of mental health very normal, and not a taboo subject at all to chat about. She gave me a lot of reassurance, and places to engage with community wise if I felt like I wanted to or needed to.

She is a wonderful health visitor, always smiling and lovely company to be around, and always made my little girl feel special too with her engagement/ interactions. Very knowledgeable about her profession and community groups close by we could engage with. We will be very sad to see her leave, but delighted for her to have a new post.
