"Distress felt, just to make Appointment "

About: Meadowside Family Health Centre

Phone at 8am and after waiting 35 callers - no appointments left.

Advised to book online. You give health details and wait for a response.

Response comes and says we advise you to see your pharmacist.

Pharmacist can't check foul smelling urine nor give an internal to see if there is a problem below.

You contact 111 and they call back fairly quick and you detail your health problem. It is arranged for a doctor to call but no time given.

Whilst waiting for call that could come any time you find yourself at work where you're not sopposed to have a phone, anxiously waiting for doctor call. Then you have to drive home and are desparate the phone doesn't ring or cut off while driving. Then you get home and check your health records on phone and read you have had 2 missed calls. At this point you phone surgery, waiting in a phone queue to be told, no you won't have an appointment now because you've missed your call. My phone never rang out loud once but the calls were made from the surgery. I've asked for it to be put on my notes that thd doctors calls do not ring on my phone. In the past, I have held the phone for hours, seen the number for doctor come up as missed call. All other numbers have no problem- chemist, 111 etc only when the doctors in this surgery 'call' me back. Question: How does a working person get an appointment at this surgery? Understand, no one would try to make a doctor's appointment unless you felt it really necessary. My health has suffered as I have postponed attempting to get doctor's appointments due to the stress of getting them. 🙃
