During April I have needed to speak to two different doctors. This practice is particularly good, it took me just a few minutes to get through to get an appointment to be speak to my preferred doctor who is brilliant. He listened carefully to my symptoms and asked me several questions. He remembered that my husband had been ill with the same symptoms 4 to 5 weeks before me becoming ill and he had tested positive for campolybactor, because of this he said he wanted to have a sample tested as he suspected that I may also have food poisoning, especially as we had been back to the same cafe again and my symptoms had started within 3 days of eating there. While waiting for the results of the sample, my symptoms got worse and I was feeling dreadful so I rang again but had to speak to a different doctor who I had not spoken to before. He was lovely, listened really carefully to me and my concerns, gave me plenty of advice about eating and drinking, but agreed that he would prescribe a course of antibiotics that I could either take straightaway or wait a day or two to see is symptoms resolved first. EAround 6pm that day, the doctor I had spoken to initially took the trouble to ring me with the results of the test that had literally just come through. He told me I did have campylocbactor and to start taking the antibiotics. I thought that was so kind of him to do this right at then end of the day. Both doctors supported me and gave me as much advice as possible to help me get better, and this is the normal experience that I have with this surgery. All of the staff are fabulous, always do the best they can to help. My preferred doctor is very kind and patient, and always listens to me and takes on board my worries. However, all of the other doctors in the practice have also done the same. I consider myself really lucky to have such a brilliant surgery to go to. Thank you!
