I feel incredibly let down and frustrated with my GP surgery (Lordshill Health Centre). Since December I’ve been going through a worrying time with my health. I discovered lumps and was sent on the wrong investigation pathway meaning I’ve only just had them biopsied. I’m getting many other unpleasant symptoms and these are being considered by my having blood tests, BP readings etc. Some bloods have come back abnormal & im still awaiting biopsy results from hospital.
My GP has expressly told me they need to see me for a follow up appt & yet when I went to book one yesterday, I was told there simply isn’t one?! The receptionist said there are literally no available slots and I must call back Friday. This isn’t unusual at this surgery but the difference is we’re trying to get to the bottom of something that could be potentially serious. Even if it transpires I’m not suffering with a serious condition, I’m still left worrying as I can’t get in to see my doctor who has requested to see me. I find this insane.
The receptionist wouldn’t leave a message and again, said I’m to call back Friday & see if they have any more appointments and these will only be telephone appointments when I told I need to be seen face 2 face. It’s absolutely atrocious.
While I may just be a number to them, this is my life. I know I’ll call Friday and if there even is any appts, these will be weeks away. Then I’ll have this appt, no doubt, end of May only to be told I need to be physically seen & I’ll have to go through this again just to get the face 2 face consultation. It’s absolutely unacceptable.
