A mass was found on my ovaries on an unrelated MRI scan. Within a short time I had an appointment with Consultant Miss Julian.
Miss Julian was very down to earth and very reassuring. Two weeks later I was admitted to Eden ward for surgery.
Every single member of staff I had the pleasure to meet was kind, empathetic and reassuring. Each member of staff explained their role in my care.
The surgical team were cheerful and kind. The anaesthetist explained all she was going to do and was so lovely to me. Ryan, the surgeon, did a marvellous job in removing my Granulosa tumour. The gentleman who looked after me in recovery and the nurse who looked after me on the ward after surgery deserve a special mention.
I received concerned and informative telephone calls from Eden ward staff checking on my welfare after my discharge.
Overall this team has renewed my faith in the NHS.
At no time was I fearful of my diagnosis I had complete faith in the Eden ward team .You were all wonderful. Thank you so much.
"Kind, empathetic and reassuring"
