I went to the new Ealing Hospital diagnostic centre for a chest CT scan. I’m a disabled person who relies on patient transport, unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, my transport didn’t pick me up until 2 hours after my original appointment time. I called the hospital to explain, they were kind enough to fit me in. When I arrived at the lovely Reception area, the lovely young lady on reception booked me in. I didn’t wait more than 10 minutes to have my scan. The staff in the CT room were so helpful, friendly and patient. They helped me get on and off the bed of the scanner, and got me extra aids to support my back and legs as I can’t lay flat. Once done, I was wheeled back to the main reception, where the friendly and very polite receptionist booked my transport ready. The receptionist was so very kind to ask if I wanted some lunch, as it’s normal to wait an average of 1-2 hours to be collected. She even went to the Kitchen herself to get it for me, I was so grateful as I had lots of tablets to take that I wasn’t allowed to take prior to my scan. The lunch was so nice, a fresh sandwich of my choice, packet of crisps, an apple and some orange juice. The receptionist didn’t have to do that for me, it was incredibly thoughtful of her. I wish I had got her name so I could mention her personally by her name. I’d just like to offer my sincere gratitude to all the staff I encountered today, they all are a credit to the NHS. Thank you so much ladies.
"Excellent care"
