"Great care and continuity"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Early Pregnancy Assessment Service

(as a service user),

We have suffered now our 8th pregnancy loss. The last 3 have been managed at University Hospital Wishaw EPAS.

Tracey has been our midwife for the last two. The continuity of having the same midwife caring for you is reassuring and helps you to feel you are more holistically cared for as they already know you.

This time we needed a surgical intervention to clear the pregnancy, Tracey held my hand throughout. She was incredible.

Our Surgeon Laura was so lovely. As I have an extensive medical history this procedure was going to be even more challenging than normal, I was given plenty of choices and chances to stop if the procedure was getting too painful.

Yasmin and Laura were both incredible too. It can't be an easy thing for people to witness even if it is their job and they responded to my needs and challenges without question.

Hopefully my next pregnancy is successful and I don't need their intervention but it's reassuring to know that this is the team who would look after me if I needed them.
