I arrived to ward 49 via A&E whilst having a miscarriage. Due to complexity in my scans I was admitted in total 3 times to the ward over a 3 week period and ultimately had a salpingectomy to address an ectopic pregnancy. Every time I was on the ward I was treated with respect, compassion and true care by every member of staff - the nurses, healthcare assistants, doctors and catering staff.
It was a terrifying and confusing time to be in and out of hospital without answers yet I felt safe and cared for every time. Every member of staff in ward 49 is a shining example of our healthcare system and they were all born to be in this job. I cannot thank you all enough for making me feel so cared for, nothing was too much to ask for and we even had a giggle at times.
Thank you all.
