"Made me feel so welcome and cared for"

About: Cloughreagh House

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

My stay in Cloughreagh House has been first class, truly unbelievable. The food was super and the care staff were most attentive, caring for my every need, I didn’t want for anything.

The physios have advised me on exercises and I have used the Gym here at Cloughreagh House and have done my exercises while enjoying the lovely view of the viaduct. I will continue with my exercise regime when I go home.

The bedroom was perfect for my needs and I appreciated my own individual television.

The district nurses attended me while I have been at Cloughreagh House and were very professional paying attention to detail. The great thing about Cloughreagh House is that it is a complete service. Everything you need is here, Physios, Social worker, OT and District nurse and all the time my care needs were met by a very friendly staff who made me feel very special.

The one thing I see that could be improved on is the availability of toilets. On my corridor there was only one toilet for resident use which also combined as a shower and on a few occasions there was a lengthy wait to use the toilet.

Overall I really enjoyed my time in Cloughreagh, thank you to everyone who made me feel so welcome and cared for.
