"My wife's experience"

About: Scunthorpe General Hospital / Cardiology

(as a relative),

My wife was admitted to this hospital with a heart valve infection. She was put on Ward 23.

The doctors and medical staff were excellent.

But the ward staff were just the opposite.

My wife's legitimate requests for help were ignored. She was in a very fragile psychological state and no one was interested in helping to comfort her.

The Patient Liaison people were equally unhelpful.

The food was disgusting.

A dreadful, needlessly stressful experience for someone in her condition.
