About: Western General Hospital / GP Out of Hours Service (Lothian Unscheduled Care Service)

(as a service user),

Called 111 on a Sunday morning at 6.50am & call was answered quickly, information taken, assessed & a return call by 7.20am with an appointment at 9.30am at the Out of Hours clinic at the Western.

Arrived at 9.10am, was seen by a lovely Dr at 9.20 & on my way home with meds before my appointment time was due to take place.

All in all, a fantastic service. What a great service you provide, you should be very proud.  Thank you.

Many thanks for taking the time to write in about the service you received on Sunday - I am writing as the Clinical Director of the GP OOH service in Lothian called LUCS. We are delighted to hear that both the appointment process with our Hub staff and the clinical interaction with our GP, were slick and effective. Hopefully you are making a full recovery!
