"Care in hospital"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / General Surgery (Wards 16-18)

(as a service user),

I was admitted to Wishaw General Hospital  with scalded septic finger.

I was taken to Ward 16 for treatment. Next day I was examined by sympathetic doctor and referred for surgery.

In Ward 16 I was given help, care and kindness from all the staff. They made my stay there as pleasant as possible. Nothing was any bother to the staff and help was given with smiles and compassion. Also there was fun too which helped to make my stay with them easier.

The theatre staff were very supportive too, again treating me with professionalism and care.

Please ensure the staff are recognised for their professional and excellent care.

Dear Trolly Lady!,

Thank you for sharing your experience of University Hospital Wishaw, General Surgery.

I am delighted to hear that the staff were kind and caring when looking after you, and that they doctor was empathetic when listening to you. I am glad to hear that nothing was a bother for the staff and that they cared for you with smiles and compassion. Sometimes a smile can make all the difference to reassure you during what can be a very worrying time.

I will ensure your kind words are passed on to the whole team who I am sure will get a real boost in hearing your lovely feedback.

I hope you are recovering well.

Best Wishes,

Jenni
