Following an e-Consult on 31st March, I was asked to book an X-ray at Bracknell healthspace. The doctor said 'we can review agaiin with the results'.
I waited a couple of weeks, checking regularly on my online medical record, then phoned the surgery results line on 3 afternoons last week. The first two times I was told that they didn't have the results and that maybe I should phone Bracknell Radiology to chase them up.
Bracknell Radiology told me that the results went to the RBH at Reading, so I phoned Reading Radiology only to be told that the results had been sent to Wokingham Medical Centre on the day of the X-ray and to tell them to look on ICE.
I phoned WMC on Thursday 24th and was told by the receptionist that the results were there, but she couldn't access them. She said she would message a doctor 'straight away' and that they would contact me. having heard nothing since, I made an online request this morning, Meanwhile I looked at my medical record again, and found that the results were there, but under Consultations, not under Test Results. I am still waiting to speak to a GP so that they can explain the meaning of the results and advise on what to be done next.
There is no point in sending patients for X-rays if the results are not going to be followed up in a timely manner without the patient having to make multiple phonecalls and online requests.
"Why so difficult to get X-ray results and…"
