My sister is midwife and works for the National Health Service. Since January 2025, she has been admitted to hospital (both the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Midland Met) via ambulance on 3 occasions. At hospital, she has been prescribed oral morphine and IV paracetamol to try and manage the severe stomach pains - yet today she has been told that she will be discharged, with all of these pain medications, but has not been given a diagnosis!
Her employer (the National Health Service) is probably going to discipline her for her sickness absences - but they are not looking after her or fully investigating the situation in order to establish a diagnosis.
I am no doctor, but we suspect it is gallstones, given the level and location of the pain she is experiencing. How can it be right that she will be discharged again? We are fully expecting for her to be readmitted in the next few days, as that is what happened on the last occasion.
A second opinion and a full investigation is urgently required!! But i send this review to warn others - don't expect for your care needs to be met -even if you are rushed into hospital via ambulance.
I had contacted PALS about 25 minutes ago - it is now 4:46pm and their offices, according to the automated message closes at 5pm - yet the recording says they are now closed? So are they open or are they closed?
I also make this review as a public record - so that if anything happens to her (physical health), I want it to be recorded that she was again discharged by the hospital and might also be dismissed by the NHS because of her poor health, that the NHS are not helping to improve.
My sister is being discharged from hospital today confused and completely dissatisfied
"Admitted 3 times since January 2025, yet no…"
