"I'm so glad I stayed and finished the full 2 weeks"

About: Murray Royal Hospital / Kinclaven Ward

(as the patient),

I came into Murray Royal hospital a couple weeks ago for an opiate detox and change over to buvidal. I was a bit scared a didn't know if I would handle it the 1st few days but the staff went above and beyond to help with every aspect of my withdrawals and changing too buvidal. I'm so glad I stayed and finished the full 2 weeks and I'm ready to go back out into society with new coping skills and information I never had.

I think everyone that comes in should get 14 days rather than alcoholics only gettin 7 as addiction is the same what ever your in for. I also think the NHS should provide more beds so more people can get the chance whether they feel ready or not.

Dear Broxi the bear,

Thank you so much for letting us know about your positive experience at Kinclaven, I'm so glad the staff were able to re-assure you and help you through this transition and to provide you with coping skills and knowledge you will find useful going forward.

I am incredibly proud of the team and what we do for our patients, so it is wonderful to hear from you what your personal experience has been.

I'm also really proud of all that our patients achieve during their time with us. We wish you all the best for the future.

Rosalynd Ramsay, SCN
