"Long night but excellent care"

About: Victoria Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a service user),

I spent a long, worrying evening in A&E waiting to be seen, waiting for blood results, waiting for a bed and then finally news that all was clear and I could go home. For someone who works in healthcare, it was really interesting to see that part of the patients journey and what they go through before being admitted to a ward. I can now understand how exhausted and disoriented patients must be by the time they are finally settled. The hard work that goes on from the whole MDT in A&E from the domestics to the consultants is clear and although it is far from perfect it was very evident that everyone is trying their best with the resources they have.

I am very grateful for the care and attention I was given especially from student nurse Faye and Dr Megan (sorry I didn’t get surnames).
Thank you NHS Fife

Hello attendantkt73

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with some lovely feedback,

I am sorry you had such a wait when you recently visited the emergency department but I am pleased to hear that despite this long wait your experience was a positive one,

I will be sure to pass your very kind comments on to the staff involved.

I do hope you are now on the road to recovery

Many thanks again

Louise.
