"Approachable, helpful and supportive"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / General medicine (Wards 5d)

(as a relative),

My husband was admitted to ward 5D at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital recently. This was his 6th admission in 10 months to the QE with urine infections. Got to say that, this ward, similar to ones he's previously been admitted to, was really good across the piece. Charge Nurse Vickie, Sarah her deputy and the rest of the team from cleaners, catering staff, auxiliaries, nurses and doctors on ward were all approachable, helpful and supportive of not only my husband, but myself too. Cannot thank the team enough, stars one & all. Thank you for everything you did for us, keep up the great work!

Dear Grateful Wife 2023

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your kind words about your husband's care on Ward 5D at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. We're truly sorry to hear about his ongoing health challenges, but we're incredibly pleased to know that he—and you—felt supported and well cared for during his stay.

Your praise for Charge Nurse Vickie, Deputy Sarah, and the entire team including our cleaners, catering staff, auxiliaries, nurses, and doctors means a great deal. We'll make sure your heartfelt thanks are passed on to them as I'm sure they will be delighted to hear the difference they made to you both.

Feedback like yours reminds us why we do what we do. Thank you again, and we wish your husband continued strength and recovery.

Kind regards

Kevin
