About: Victoria Hospital / Admissions Unit 2 (Emergency Surgical) Victoria Hospital / Urology

(as a service user),

I want to thank the staff of AU2 the Victoria hospital kirkcaldy. 

The care was exceptional kind efficient Staff Nurse Andrew was my named nurse he took time to listen and responded immediately. This is a busy ward but they take time and care especially when people are feeling so unwell and vulnerable. Thank you. 

Also wish to thank Senior charge Nurse Susan ward 54 for prompt intervention in getting me seen. And Head of elective procedure Pauline for stepping in to help when care pathway wasn't as smooth as it should have been. Thank you teams

Thank you for taking the time to feedback on your recent care experience.

We are glad that you were listened to, and that we were able to support you in ensuring that you were reviewed quickly by the most appropriate team at the time.

Listening to our patients and reviewing care experiences helps us to improve patient experiences and I will share this post with our Clinical Nurse Manager mentioned in this response. It is also encouraging to see that you experienced good efficient care on a very busy Admissions Unit and I will ensure this is cascaded to them and to Staff Nurse Andrew.
