In February this year I had a planned C-section to deliver my third baby. My Husband & I would like to express our thanks to all the staff we met that day and who brought our girl into the world. To ODP Jill, Thankyou for leading your fab team to create such a calm and peaceful environment and for making sure we had the perfect music playlist for delivery! To Dr McMillan & Registrar Robyn, Thankyou so much for safely delivering our baby girl without adverse event. Having had 2 previous difficult deliveries, I’ll be forever grateful.
I’m sorry that I can’t recall the names of the anaethetist and the midwife in theatre that day but both were also as incredible as their colleagues on duty that day and we really appreciate you both too!
Afterwards in recovery, we were taken care of by Midwife Anne. She was fantastic and ensured we were able to have as much skin to skin as possible which was extra special as I’d not been able to do that in the past.
On the postnatal ward (ward 73)Nightshift Midwife Kirsten (hope this name is correct, told me she had 4 kids) was amazing and her support with my first attempt at breastfeeding was so appreciated. She made sure I always had appropriate pain relief and also reminded me to ask for help when ever I needed.
Forever grateful for all of the team involved throughout the whole process in keeping both baby & me safe. You should all be proud of the excellent job you do.
